The mighty Deerhoof have released The Free Triple Live Album recorded on February 7, 2024 at the legendary Berlin club SO36, to a full house.
The live audio multitracks were recorded by Tobias Lill and mixed by drummer Greg Saunier. The audio-only version of The Free Triple Live Album is available as a pay-what-you-want download on Deerhoof’s Bandcamp site, and the Joyful Noise website.
The live concert recording finds the indie-rock giants drawing on material from their remarkable catalogue spanning 27 years, including a journey through the early-2000’s classic run of Reveille, Apple O’, Milk Man, and The Runners Four, as well as quality selections from their most recent releases: the marvellous Actually, You Can from 2022, and their current LP Miracle-Level.

A very interesting sound. I think that’s the first time I’ve ever seen the drum kit so far forward on the stage. Kind of a good idea if only in the sense that the drummer is often out of the shot for photos taken from the audience.
Thanks for watching Steve. Yes they are a unique band, both onstage and on record. The drummer Greg is a beast obviously and a rather unusual but cool chap.
